5-Week Intro Program

This program helps new students and beginners develop a well-rounded Jiu Jitsu foundation before enrolling in group classes — with a free gi uniform included.

Intro to Jiu Jitsu class at Trasso JJW

Most Jiu Jitsu schools don't have a true intro program. On your first day they throw you into a group class where everyone is more experienced, and you're just expected to figure it out. Sink or swim.

Our intro curriculum is different. It's systematic and linear — each lesson builds directly off the previous one. This approach helps students digest information faster and enter group classes with real confidence, not just survival instincts.

Over 5 weeks and 10 lessons, you'll build a well-rounded Jiu Jitsu foundation. You'll be learning alongside other beginners, guided every step of the way by your coaches. After lesson 10, you'll have an arsenal of techniques and feel prepared to roll in group classes.

Classes run every Wednesday and Friday from 7:15–8:15 PM. A free gi uniform is included when you sign up for the 5-week course.

What you'll learn

  • Basic Jiu Jitsu movements & positions
  • Entry-level takedowns, sweeps, submissions, and escapes
  • How to move, breathe, and pace yourself while rolling
  • How to fight off your back
  • How to control an attacker even if they are much larger than you
  • How to finish the fight with a submission
